Our residential home is substantial, well considered homes, located in safe places for Children to live and grow. The homes are maintained to the highest of standards and all children are encouraged to participate in communal living whilst maintaining the privacy of their own, personalised, and individual bedroom.

Oak View’s structure is focused on young people being actively involved within their home and their local communities, as well rounded, safe individuals. Each home has a high level of experienced Adults (staff) including an Ofsted Registered Manager.

Our trauma informed, nurturing approach is based on the DDP PACE model, developing healthy relationships and attachments, while positively implementing the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics to construct the supportive environment for our developing young people. We will help support our young people in managing their environment and relationships on their ongoing journey towards independence.

The adults in the home will have a high priority around safeguarding our children and young, ensuring clear professional boundaries balanced with a nurturing and genuine empathetic approach to understanding and ongoing development of the individual young person in the hope of supporting them to achieve sustainable success in their ongoing future development and outcomes.

Oak View’s School appreciates how education plays a vital role in the development of a child’s future. Therefore, we have a DFE Registered school onsite to enable our children and young people to have access to daily education.

Oak View School implements a trauma informed approach to working with children and young people supporting them to access a wide range of subjects and qualifications of their choice.

We offer AQA, ASDAN, NCFE, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Outdoor education onsite. We can also facilitate horse riding qualifications and support other interests of educational development led by the fundamental interests of the individual child.

Our adults work tirelessly to support our children to obtain the highest possible standard and strive to help our children to achieve their goals in their chosen area of interest.

The school provides tailored support to each individual child according to their needs, to help them to achieve the best sustainable outcomes.

The Oak View Therapy team will hold a 1-1 space for each of our children and young people to engage in once a week to explore and develop their emotional awareness and understanding through the use of the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy model.

The therapeutic team will facilitate the Neurosequential model of therapeutics as part of our overall trauma informed approach. Our therapists & Clinical team will gather information and analyse the sustainable positive outcomes for our children and young people, based on their static ACE’s & PCEs, dynamic Strengths & Difficulties, implement effective interventions that will achieve the best outcomes for the individual young person.

Our overall plan and assessment model will be based on the Bioecological model based on the Bronfer Brenner Model taking into consideration ‘The whole child.’

Our young people will work through varying programmes to help them achieve sustainable successful futures for themselves on their ongoing journey towards independence.

We have access to Equine therapeutic centre which may be able to be combined with certification and qualifications that may be able to be tailored into education
